Tom Selleck's Daughter Chooses a Different Path: A Life with Horses

A Career Apart from Hollywood

When your dad is a heartthrob on the popular sitcom Friends, it might be tempting to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in Hollywood. However, Tom Selleck's daughter, Hannah, has chosen a completely different path.

A Passion for Horses

While her father played the character Richard Burke on Friends, Hannah, now 35, has dedicated her life to horses. She is a skilled equestrian and has turned her passion for horses into a successful career.

Encouragement from Her Parents

Hannah credits her parents, Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack, for encouraging her to pursue her passion. As artists themselves, they believe in the importance of being passionate about what you do. They supported Hannah in her equestrian pursuits and allowed her to find her own path.

A Life with Horses

According to Equestrian Living, Hannah learned to ride horses at a young age when her parents moved to a ranch in California. She received training at the prestigious Foxfield Riding School and started her professional career as an equestrian after graduating from Loyola Marymount. Hannah now competes in Grand Prix level show jumping and operates her own horse breeding and training business, Descanso Farm.

A Different Kind of Fame

While Tom Selleck gained fame for his roles in Friends and the 80s hit show Magnum PI, Hannah has carved out a name for herself in the equestrian world. She may not have followed in her father's footsteps in Hollywood, but she has found success and fulfillment in her own unique way.

A Proud Father

Tom Selleck, now 78, continues to support his daughter's career and is proud of her accomplishments. Despite their different paths, the bond between father and daughter remains strong.
