TOP Gear’s stars opened up on their most hated challenged which left Paddy McGuiness sick.
Paddy, along with Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff, are back on the telly this weekend for the popular car show and getting up to their usual hijinks, including the ‘most horrendous’ challenge.
The lads took part in a chilli eating contest while testing electric campervans in Northumberland.
As they did laps of a race course, they tried to outdo each other by eating chillies to see who could withstand the heat the best.
Paddy was willing to admit he did not handle the challenge very well compare to the other two blokes.
“These two are those people who, when you go to a curry house, say ‘I can eat something hotter than you’,” he told Metro.
“I’m a chicken korma man. Brown sauce is too hot for me.”
They started with Birds Eye chilli and worked their way up the scale of heat, with Paddy having to bow out after the first round.
He wasn’t too mad though, because he wanted to “sit back and enjoy” the other hosts suffer.
“It was like watching two heavyweights go at it,” he explained about their ability to eat hot chillies.
But Freddie also didn’t hold back in describing what happened after he tried to eat the spicy fruit.
“It was pretty horrendous, and without wanting to go into too much detail, there’s another part of the process you’ve got to deal with as well,” he said.
“It’s the worst thing I’ve ever had. I’ve not drunk milk for eight years, but I couldn’t get enough of it. And then that night, I’m not even going to go into it…”
Paddy added: “I’m still not sure what that actual challenge was. Everything went out the window.”
While the trio had plenty of fun filming the new series, Paddy also revealed his “most emotional Top Gear moment ever” after he burst into tears on set.
In an exclusive interview with The Celeb Report’s TV Mag, the presenter told of the tear-jerking moment when he paid tribute to legendary stuntman Eddie Kidd.
Eddie was one of the great daredevils of his generation, having worked on a number of James Bond films.
The 62-year-old was left paralysed and with brain damage following an accident in 1996, with the first episode of the BBC series seeing Paddy lining up a special tribute.
The Top Gear hosts honour the driver in the new episodes by heading on a road trip together, before stunt performers put on an explosive show for him.
Recalling his favourite moments of Eddie’s career, Paddy told The Celeb Report: “When I was a kid, Evil Kineval was the one.
“Everyone had the toy, but genuinely it was a brand to me, I never saw him, he was never on British TV.
“But when Eddie Kidd came on the scene, he felt accessible and he looked so good, as a kid I were like ‘Wow, he’s like James Bond on a motorbike’.
“Obviously it’s been well-documented – everything that happened to him – so to meet him now and do what we did for him, and how emotional his family got, I got, he got, it was a really special film.”
The former Take Me Out presenter also revealed that Eddie’s tribute on Top Gear was “the most emotional thing” that he’s ever experienced on the show.
“There’s a lot of crying on Top Gear, but that’s definitely the most emotional thing,” added the 48-year-old.
