TOWIE’S Pete Wicks is in no mood to patch things up with his former co-stars – branding them “d***heads”.
Pete – who appeared on the ITVBe reality show from 2015 to 2021 – was slammed by popular cast members, as they accused him of “disrespecting the show that made him”.
Towie’s Pete Wicks has slammed co-stars a ‘d***heads’
The Essex star said he never ‘disrespected the show’ that made him famous
On the latest episode of Pete and Sam Thompson’s podcast Staying Relevant, the latter touched on Pete’s ongoing feud with his former co-stars.
Sam, 30, read out: “Pete Wicks embroiled in new Towie feud as his co-stars brand him fickle.”
Pete, 35, was quick to defend himself saying he never “disrespected” the show, but admitted he does have a problem with some cast members who enjoy “stirring the pot”.
“The biggest problem I have with this, is that I haven’t disrespected the show at all,” Pete hit back.
“I haven’t said anything about the show.
“We’ve said repeatedly a number of times, we wouldn’t be anywhere without Towie, without Made In Chelsea, we wouldn’t be doing what we do.
“What I have disrespected is those d***heads – so actually it’s not the show.
“It’s not the show that I’m disrespecting, it has been for a long period of time and I owe an awful lot to the show and I love the people that make the show and the people that work behind the cameras.
“It’s the people on the cameras that are a problem.
“So actually no, I haven’t disrespected the show, the show’s great, I love the show, it’s you lot.”
“That is absolutely wild,” Sam laughed.
Pete continued: “You know what it is – over the years you get some people on reality TV, when you do different shows you have different people who bring storylines and different people who go on to do other things.
“And my reason for leaving Towie was that I just done it for so long and I don’t have as much connection with any of the cast anymore.
“Slagging off the show is complete b*******, what happens when you do these shows is you have people who are used by producers and by other people to stir the pot.
“I like to call them ‘ladles’ because they’re never the soup but they are there to stir things.
“Like never the bride always the bridesmaid.”
Pete stunned telly fans when he announced his Towie exit earlier this year and has since been focused on projects with best pal and Made in Chelsea star Sam.
He went on to make scathing comments about “fake f***s” starring on the show.
Asked if Pete would be welcomed back to the show, Chloe Brockett told The Celeb Report: “I couldn’t imagine him coming back.
“I thought Pete was nice when I spoke to him, but he’s got different ideas about what he wants to do with his career so good luck to him.
“There’s no need to slag off a show that’s been good to you.”
Saffron Lempriere added: “I ain’t interested if he comes back.
“He can be a bit fickle. Wherever you go, [Towie’s] where you started.”
She then warned: “Let’s hope Sam Thompson stays close to him because he’s finished otherwise.”
