Towie legend Bobby Norris attempts to break four world records – but it all goes wrong

THE Only Way Is Essex legend Bobby Norris felt like a right doughnut after failing to beat a series of world records.

Bobby, 35, attempted to become the fastest person in the world to eat a jam doughnut with no hands and without licking his lips.

Bobby attempted to break a number of world records

Bobby took part in the special event for Mecca Bingo’s 60th birthday

But the record, which currently stands at 11.41 seconds, proved too much for the reality TV star to be able to beat.

Next, he attempted the same challenge but this time it was with a banana. And with the record standing at 20.33 seconds he thought he was in with a chance.

A source said: “Bobby was desperate to be a record breaker and after the doughnut challenge he was convinced he’d be able to do it with the banana challenge.“

But he quickly realised that eating a banana with no hands was not as easy as it first looked because he also had to get it out of its skin.

“Bobby being Bobby was making lots of saucy innuendos before he did the challenge which probably didn’t help him stay focused,” the source added.

Bobby was taking part in a special event to celebrate Mecca Bingo’s 60th birthday with the Guinness World Record adjudicators on hand to oversee hie record breaking attempts.

The bingo giant have already broken the world record for the most number of ‘Happy Birthday’ video messages received in an hour and will be featured in the Guinness World Record book in 2023.

They are also on track to beat the record for the most Happy Birthday video messages ever received.

As well as the doughnut and banana records, Bobby had a go at wrapping the Guinness World Record book in the fastest time.

He also tried to beat the record of sticking the most post-it notes on his face in 30 seconds in one final record-breaking attempt.

Speaking from the event in London earlier this evening, Bobby said: “I should’ve been good at the post-it notes one as I’ve got such a big forehead.

“I knew the banana challenge was going to be tricky as I don’t eat bananas but hoped that having a bit longer I might’ve been able to pull that one off.“

And as for the doughnut challenge it was so just impossible!

“I tried my best and had a great time helping Mecca Bingo celebrate their 60th birthday,” he concluded of the exciting day.
