The 34-year-old revealed his dad walked out on his mum when he was younger and they’ve had little contact since.

Pete said: “My dad’s a good man.

“I don’t have a relationship with him. My mum and dad split up when I was younger and I understand things are difficult but I wasn’t enough for him to stay.”

He added: “[I’ve felt] Sadness and anger. I was able to keep it under control for years.

“I recently lost my nan. I’ve felt sad for years. It’s been tough.”

“Bless him. He’s really displaying a vulnerable side that I’ve never seen before.”

Another said: “I’m welling up.”

And a fourth added: “Wanna give Pete a big hug.”

Pete recently opened up to The Celeb Report about his search for love and why he’s still single.

He said: “No f**ker will put up with me!

“I think it’s because I believe in soulmates, marriage and kids and all that stuff.

“But I would rather stay on my own than settle for anything other than exactly what I feel like I want, if that makes sense?

“I believe in the fairy tale, I want the fairy tale. I just haven’t had it yet.”
