The mum-of-two left her naturally curly hair loose over her shoulders, giving fans a glimpse of her freshly-dyed locks.
She posed for pictures with her partner Simon Brough and their daughter Avarie-Belle Betsy, five, and son Rowan, 10 months, on a festive outing.
The TV star looked chic in a black high-neck jumper, leather trousers and accessorised with silver layered necklaces.
The star spent quality time with close friends and family as they dined at a local pub.
Dani wrote alongside the snaps: “Rowan’s 1st ever Christmas! Our 1st Christmas as a family of 4 and our last Christmas in Berkshire!
“We may have all been ill but it was still absolutely delightful!”
Dani’s fans raced to compliment the star on new look, with one writing: “Your hair is stunning, love the new colour on your.”
Another posted : “You suit blonde, looks great!”
A third added: “I’ve always wanted hair like yours, I loved you in Tracey Beaker.”
Earlier this year, Dani showed off her trim figure in a pale pink jumpsuit and white T-shirt as she partied with pals – admitting she didn’t feel “mum guilt” for once.
Alongside the snap of her with her friends, Dani wrote: “Best day with these gorgeous ladies!
“Felt so good to be out the house and for once just letting my hair down with no mum guilt!”
The actress gave birth in February to her second child with partner Simon Brough last month – with the couple choosing to name the tot Rowan Leon James.
Dani is also mum to Avarie-Belle Betsy, five.
She revealed in March that she was unable to breastfeed her baby boy because he had tongue tie.
Tongue tie, where the strip of tissue attaching the tongue to the floor of the mouth is shorter than usual.
This may result in the tongue having a heart-shaped appearance but can also prompt difficulties latching on to mum in the breastfeeding process, which the star said she had experienced.
Last year Dani returned to TV for a special three-part series My Mum Tracy Beaker.
From 2002 to 2012, she starred in five series of The Story of Tracy Beaker, as well as a feature-length film Tracy Beaker’s Movie of Me, and three series of Tracy Beaker Returns.
Her return to TV was however overshadowed by cruel trolling over her size-ten figure.
The star revealed the devastating effect online bullying had on her mental health and explained the comments made her want to quit social media.
After CBBC celebrated their most successful programme launch ever with My Mum Tracey Beaker, Dani slammed Instagram despite admitting it “got the word out” about the show.
“It’s kind of the reason why [the show] got such big viewing ratings – social media was kind of getting the word out there,” she said.
“But I personally wouldn’t have social media if it wasn’t so important now for kind of getting the message out there.”
