Meet the New Gladiators
Two new Gladiators have officially joined the show, with there now 18 in the team of strong men and women. The new Gladiators are esteemed athletes called Cyclone and Hammer, and behind their stage names, their real names are Lystus Ebosele and Tom Wilson.
Lystus Ebosele is a super strong weightlifter, while Tom Wilson is an indoor rower. One is a British rowing champion, and the other is a super-strong weightlifter.
Introducing the New Stars
Announced on The One Show, Legend shared his thoughts on the two new stars joining the programme. Legend mentioned the usefulness of having more assistants and the importance of having people to help carry essentials like water, snacks, and protein.
Newcomer Lystus, a 23-year-old classic powerlifter representing Ireland, achieved an impressive 235 kilograms at the 2023 IPF World Junior Powerlifting Championships in Romania. Tom, on the other hand, is an indoor rower from Nottingham, UK, who won the 2024 British Indoor Rowing Championships and competed in the European and World Indoor Rowing Championships.
18 Gladiators in Total
With the addition of Cyclone and Hammer, the Gladiators team now boasts a total of 18 members. The new series is set to air soon, following the success of the previous season that attracted nearly 10 million viewers.
The iconic competition will see the return of familiar Gladiators, including Sabre, Nitro, Diamond, Phantom, and more.
Exciting New Series
Gladiators made a comeback last January, with Bradley and Barney Walsh as hosts. The show features four contenders competing against resident Gladiators in a series of physical challenges. Each Gladiator is an esteemed athlete, making the competition tough and thrilling.
Lystus and Tom bring their unique strengths to the team, sharing their journey and workouts on social media as they gear up for the upcoming season.
