She recently revealed she had lost two-stone since the split in February, and now Vanessa has opened up about her ‘real size’ on her TalkTV show.
Vanessa did a piece on the disparity in women’s clothing sizes on Wednesday’s show.
She tried on an XXL jacket which she found surprisingly snug – and reiterated she is a size 12-14 currently.
Vanessa said: “This jacket is XXL. I’ve been many different sizes in my career and my life as I’m sure people know and I’ve definitely been an XXL.
“I’m probably… this is the bit where you don’t know what size you are but I would say I’m probably a 14 but I can also fit into a 12 at the moment depending on whether it’s large or small.”
She continued: “It’s an XXL so this should be hanging off me, shouldn’t it? And you can see, it’s pretty snug.
“It’s made of a stretchy fabric, but I wouldn’t say it’s an XXL. So what might happen now is I might feel absolutely terrible and I might feel distraught and destroyed at the idea I’m fitting into an XXL.
“Does that mean I’m hugely enormous and it would just be detrimental to my mental health? or do I just shrug it off and say, ‘Utterly ludicrous sizing, they should be ashamed of themselves, I’m exactly the same size I was before I put the dress on’, which is the truth, right?”
Vanessa, who lost three and a half stone two years ago, told Closer Magazine: “I think I’ve lost about two stone, I’m not sure. I haven’t weighed myself, but [I’ve lost] quite a lot.
“I tried on some dresses the other day in a size 12, and they were much too big. Although it could have been just those dresses, so I’m not saying I’m a size 10 – I’m not saying anything about my size – but I have lost weight.”
Explaining further, she added: “I’ve been too heartbroken to eat anything, and I don’t think that’s a very nice diet.
“I’ve been on it before and it’s horrible. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m sure I’ll get my appetite back when I go back to being OK.”
