WANDAVISION fans have complained they are ‘already confused’ by the Disney+ show just minutes into the premiere.
The eagerly anticipated show arrived on the streaming service today and sees Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their roles from the Marvel films as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision.
The series certainly doesn’t follow the traditional format of a Marvel film or TV show, with the characters moving through different decades from the 1950s onwards and paying homage to classic sitcom styles along the way.
While viewers loved the style of the show, they were equally confused by it all, especially how Wanda and Vision could even be back together considering he died in Avengers Endgame.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “im confused its cute amazing and entertaining but WHATTTTTT.”
Another added: “I’m so freaking confused but I’m LOVING it so far.”
A third agreed, writing: “i’m sort of lost but it’s so nice to see them both back and happy and smiling.”
Meanwhile a fourth tweeted: “wait so they’re both confused on how they got there? i’m so lost.”
Earlier this week, Elizabeth explained how the show will directly lead into Marvel movie, Doctor Strange 2, starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
She said on Good Morning America: “There’s never much we can talk about in Marvel, but I do think WandaVision is a natural progression into what happens in Doctor Strange 2.
“I think [Marvel boss] Kevin Feige is doing a really amazing job intertwining the television format with the films so that we can tell more interesting stories moving forward.”
As well as linking into Doctor Strange 2, WandaVision will also form a loose trilogy with the currently untitled Spider-Man 3 film.
WandaVision is available on Disney+ now.
