Waterloo Road Star Adam Thomas Faces Financial Loss as Restaurant Closes

Financial Setback

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant and Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas has experienced a significant financial loss following the closure of his restaurant business. The eatery, named The Spinn, went bust in July 2023, leaving Adam and his business partner with debts totaling £300,000.

Business Closure

Adam and his friend Scott Graham had invested in the Manchester-based restaurant back in 2019, only to see it shut down after three years of operation. Despite efforts to keep the business afloat, liquidators have confirmed that creditors are unlikely to receive any repayments.

Multiple Closures

Following the closure of The Spinn, Adam also had to shut down two more ventures connected to the restaurant—Plant Pizzas Ltd and Gatley Road Ltd, a mobile catering business. This series of closures marked a challenging period for the former soap star turned entrepreneur.

Rise to Fame

Adam Thomas rose to fame in the mid-2000s with his role as Donte Charles in the popular BBC drama Waterloo Road. He later gained further recognition for portraying Adam Barton in Emmerdale. The actor comes from a talented family, with his older brother Ryan Thomas known for his role in Coronation Street and his twin brother Scott Thomas making an appearance on Love Island.
