WATERLOO Road viewers have been left raging and vowed to ‘never watch again’ as they blasted the ‘woke’ BBC.
The beloved school drama series was revived last year by the BBC with brand new episodes now airing.
Waterloo Road viewers have been left furious over the new series
Fans have branded the series was ‘woke’ and blasted the BBC
Now in its second series, the show comprises of seven episodes and airs on Tuesday nights on BBC One.
Cast members include Kym Marsh and Scarlett Thomas, while a number of former Waterloo Road stars are reprising their characters.
These include Angela Griffin (Kim Campbell), Adam Thomas (Donte Charles), and Katie Griffiths (Chlo Charles).
Plus favourite and former deputy head, Andrew Treneman, played by Jamie Glover, has also returned to the show.
However, viewers have been left seething as the third instalment was broadcast.
Taking to social media, they blasted the BBC for being ‘woke’ and accused them of insulting fans’ intelligence.
One viewer said: “It would be nice to see a programme just once that doesn’t go out of its way to be as woke as f*** #WaterlooRoad. They insult our intelligence.”
A second wrote: “Just watched for the first time. Never again!! Some good actors, granted. But the woke PC brigade have their claws in the writing / producing to such an extent it’s embarrassing!”
“#WaterlooRoad, more like Waterloo Woke,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “What a load of woke b*****ks Waterloo Road is now. We watched all original series. We gave the first series of this reboot a watch, just to see, and had mixed thoughts about it. I could not get through more than 15 minutes of this new series last night, it’s reached new depths.”
The recent episode saw Preston and Kai decide to take their relationship to the next level and give the school something to talk about.
Elsewhere, Amy came face to face with her crush as she was forced to work with them at the poetry slam.
