We argue a lot and have huge disagreements on BGT – if we ever stop laughing there’s a big problem, says Simon Cowell

SIMON Cowell has admitted the Britain’s Got Talent judges argue a lot – but always laugh it off.

The music mogul, 62, insists he would have a big problem if they didn’t laugh at least once a day while filming the ITV show.

Ahead of tomorrow night’s launch of its 15th series following a year-long break, Simon admitted: “The truth is you know that you’ve got a good group around you when you can argue without feeling bad about arguing.

“In other words, when we disagree, and we do a lot, it’s not uncomfortable, and that’s when you know it’s a fun place to work, otherwise, it’s really bad.

“If you don’t laugh in a day there’s an issue, and that’s probably what we do on the show.”

Simon along with his co-judges David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon are always teasing each other on air – and it’s the same behind the scenes.

During an interview for this weekend’s shows, David aimed a “gastric band” joke Simon following his impressive weight loss.

Simon lost a staggering four inches off his waist following his health kick.

But David could not resist in teasing his friend on his new physique during Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

He said: “You paid your double to have plastic surgery and also a gastric band.”

Simon replied: “I haven’t had a gastric band.”

David added: “I’m not saying you have, you’ve obviously lost weight naturally – but the person who is Simon’s double needs it to lose a bit of weight.

“Simon looks very well. He looks younger and younger every year, I don’t know how he does it.”

Simon explained: “It’s called exercising and eating well, David.”
