PADDY McGuinness will return to screens for another exciting series of Celebrity Catchpoint.
Here’s what you need to know about the new series of the gameshow…
What is Celebrity Catchpoint?
The new game show requires brains and balls.
The slightly confusing premise of the show can basically be summed up as – just don’t drop the ball!
Ten large screens will be positioned along the back wall of the Catch Zone and contestants must stand under the answer they think is right.
The trap door with the correct answer releases a ball and they have to be quick to catch it.
Which makes things easy if you’ve got it right, but tricky if you’re under the wrong door.
And the real hard work starts once the contestant answers the question correctly – meaning they’ll have to have quick reactions to stay in the game.
Who is appearing on Celebrity Catchpoint?
The show’s Paddy McGuinness first arrived on our screens almost 20 years ago yet became a household name hosting the hugely popular Take Me Out and ultimately reviving the TV dating show genre.
The star made his TV debut in 1995 as a contestant on a series of dating shows, including Davina McCall fronted God’s Gift.
The new series will be filmed at BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow with a celebrity line up of contestants.
Tia Kofi & The Vivienne from Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK and Radio 1 DJs Scott Mills and Chris Stark have all been confirmed as guests on this year’s show.
When is Celebrity Catchpoint on BBC?
Celebrity Catchpoint will return this Saturday, April 23, 2022 on BBC One?
The gameshow will premiere at 6:45pm until 7:15pm.
Speaking on the show, Paddy McGuinness shared: “I’m thrilled that Catchpoint is back bigger and better than ever! With a load of celebrities trying to catch our big and small balls it’s bound to be packed with lots of laughs and some sensational diving.”
