Series three ended with a bang

What is Big Mouth about?

Big Mouth is an animated show on Netflix created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett.

It follows characters Jessi, Andrew, and Nick as they navigate their way through their awkward pubescent years.

The three best friends and their schoolmates are challenged with issues like dating, sexuality, and porn addiction.

Deadline has reported that season four of the show “focuses on anxiety, but not the political kind”.

Ayo Edebiri has been permanently added to the cast as Missy

It continues: “Instead, it’s the anxiety of growing up, of figuring out who you are, discovering yourself, accepting yourself.

“The season starts at summer camp before our gang heads to 8th grade.”

The new season will guest star big names, including Seth Rogen, Zach Galifianakis, Josie Totah, Lena Waithe, Quinta Brunson, John Oliver, Sterling K. Brown, Paul Giamatti, Maya Erskine, and Anna Konkle.

Ayo Edebiri has been permanently added to the cast as Missy.

Her character will make its debut in the penultimate episode of this series, and she will voice Missy in the final episode and in future seasons.

The recasting follows a shake-up in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The series producers said in a joint statement: “After thoughtful discussion with us and our Black collaborators, Jenny Slate has decided, and we wholeheartedly agree, that Missy on Big Mouth should be voiced by a Black actor,

“We sincerely apologise for and regret our original decision to cast a white actor to voice a biracial character.

“We made a mistake, took our privilege for granted, and we’re working hard to do better moving forward.”
