Episode 5 of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier dropped today – April 16, 2021 – on Disney Plus at 8am.

The trailer for the series sensationally debuted during the 2021 Super Bowl to the surprise of fans.

The coronavirus outbreak originally forced production to be halted, but plans were thankfully rearranged to reprise shooting in the Czech Republic.

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will fill the void that WandaVision has left.

What is it about?

In Marvel‘s new series, Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities and their patience.

The series is a sequel to Avengers: Endgame.

The last fans saw, Steve Rogers was retiring from his duties as Captain America and passed his shield on to Falcon.

Although details are being closely guarded, Sebastian Stan who plays Winter Soldier said: “I think it’s time for Bucky to go out there and have an identity outside of the circumstances that we’ve met him through,”

“So, I don’t know, he might do all kinds of things. He might even go on a date. I don’t know… I think it’s gonna be a lot of dealing with Anthony’s character.”

It will be directed by Kari Skogland who also directed several episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale.

Anthony Mackie



Mackie played a role in 2019’s Black Mirror series

Mackie starred as Takeshi Kovacs in the second season of Netflix‘s Altered Carbon.

He has also played a role in 2019’s Black Mirror series and featured in Eminem‘s film debut, 8 Mile.

Mackie plays Falcon, who joined the Avengers late as Captain America’s sidekick.

He has a bionic suit which allows him to fly and has appeared in Captain America, the Winter Soldier.

He had a cameo in the Ant Man movie.

Mackie has spoken out about Marvel’s need to hire more black people behind the camera in addition to starring in films and TV series.

Sebastian Stan



Stan plays Winter Soldier who first appeared as ‘Bucky’ Barnes in the Captain America films

Stan is recognisable as Carter Baizen in Gossip Girl.

The 37-year-old star has also featured in film such as Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame.

Stan plays Winter Soldier who first appeared as “Bucky” Barnes when he fought alongside Captain America in World War 2.

He was captured and brainwashed by Hydra who gave him his metal arm.

He rejoined forces for Captain America: Civil War and the Avengers movies.

Stan has been slammed after social media users have speculated that his girlfriend Alejandra Onieva posted a racist photo online.

Daniel Brühl



Brühl starred as Lauda in the film Rush

Brühl is a Spanish-German actor. 

He is known for his role as Laszlo Kreizler on the TV series The Alienist and as Lauda in the film Rush alongside Chris Hemsworth.

His starring role in the German film Good Bye, Lenin! earned him the European Film Award and the German Film Award for Best Actor.

VanCamp has had roles on TV series Everwood, Brothers & Sisters and Revenge.

Marvel fans will recognise her as Sharon Carter from the Captain America films.
