What will happen during the Love Island 2022 final?

Love Island host, Laura Whitmore, will present the live final, with her husband Iain Stirling providing his popular comical commentary.

The final will consist of highlights of the couple’s last day in the villa, including a romantic dance, and their last dates.

Then Laura will chat to the finalists live from the villa with a live audience.

The show’s prize money stands at £50,000, but once Whitmore has revealed the winners they will be asked to pick an envelope each.

One envelope contains £0, while the other holds the full £50,000.

Whoever has the envelope with the prize money in it is then asked if they wish to split it with their partner and receive £25,000 each, or keep the full amount.

This will reveal once and for all if the person was in it for love or money.

So far, this has never happened – although some of the romances didn’t last very long once the series ended.

How can I watch the Love Island final?

The Love Island final starts at 9pm on Monday, August 1, on ITV2.
