Wheel of Fortune fans catch host Pat Sajak making ’embarrassing blunder’ with contestant Vanilla Ice

WHEEL of Fortune fans have caught host Pat Sajak making an embarrassing mistake with rapper Vanilla Ice on the show recently.

The rapper, 54, has appeared on the beloved program as part of the celebrity edition, but viewers think the host made a blunder that the artist will never forget.

Fans think they caught Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak making a major blunder on an episode of the show’s celebrity edition

It took place while Vanilla Ice was on as a contestant

While competing on the show last year for charity, Vanilla Ice, 54, told Pat that he wanted to be called Rob, instead of by his stage name.

The artist, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, said his rapper name felt like he had to be singing or dancing on the game show.

Pat obliged, though later on in the episode, some fans think they caught him making a major blunder with Vanilla Ice’s name.

One Reddit user was rewatching the Wheel of Fortune episode and resurfaced a clip from it this week.

Sharing a moment from the show when Pat calls out to the rapper, the Redditer asked: “Rob or Ralph?”

The scene featured the host letting Vanilla Ice know it was his turn to spin the wheel next, but some think he called him Ralph instead of Rob.

“It’s Rob Van Winkle ‘Vanilla Ice,’ one said. “I swear he called him Ralph back there.”

While fans heard it both ways, one did a little extra digging and pointed out: “It shows ‘Rob’ on the closed captioning.”

They also went back to listen to it and said: “I definitely hear Rob.”

This isn’t the first time fans have been confused or shocked by something Pat’s said on the game show.

The Wheel of Fortune host has often been called out lately for various mistakes and controversial comments.

Earlier this week, the 75-year-old TV personality was blasted for a remark he made toward hostess Vanna White.

Toward the end of the episode, they were into their Final Spin moment of the game show.

After a few turns of Vanna walking from one side of the puzzle board to the other to reveal the letters, Pat got a little cheeky with her.

One contestant called out the letter N and Pat shared that there were two of them.

Before he even finished saying so, the heel-clad hostess had already started walking to light up the correct letters on the board.

Apparently, Vanna wasn’t doing so quick enough for Pat, though, as with a bit of humor in his voice, he asked: “Could ya move a little faster?”

She quickly finished up and looked back over at him with a slight smile, with the players all awkwardly laughing a little, too.

Fans were angry with the host, with one viewer tweeting: “I’ve never heard Pat tell Vanna to ‘move a little faster’ during the show!”

Another said: “Pat tells Vanna ‘move a little faster’ during speed-up. Oh Pat!”

A third upset watcher wrote: “Pat Sajak just told Vanna White to hurry up.

“B***h, I will shank you. You don’t get snotty with a national treasure.”

“Are you watching wheel rn,” another asked. “Pats out here disrespecting our girl Vanna.”

Just a few weeks earlier, viewers slammed Pat for an “inappropriate question” he asked Vanna on the show.

It all started innocently enough, as Pat asked his longtime co-star if she was an “opera buff?”

Vanna, 65, replied: “I’m not a buff, but I like opera.”

That’s when the Chicago native made a regretful ad-lib.

“Have you ever watched opera in the buff?” Sajak poked, adding, “I’m just curious.”

Vanna responded with a “No,” and forced out a laugh.

“Shame on Pat for asking Vana if she had watched opera in the buff!!!!” One fan wrote.
