When are Prince Charles and Camilla on EastEnders?

THE Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will be arriving in Albert Square to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Eastenders will air the royal scene which was filmed in March, this Bank Holiday.

When are Prince Charles and Camilla on EastEnders?

In a celebration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the royals are coming to Albert Square.

The couple will make their cameo in an upcoming Bank Holiday episode, which will air on Thursday 2, June, 2022 at 7.30pm.

The episode will be aired on BBC One and available for those who missed it, to watch on catch up on BBC iPlayer shortly after broadcast.

The BBC1 soap’s executive producer Chris Clenshaw said: “We are truly honoured to have both The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall appear in what is set to be one of EastEnders’ most special episodes.

“Linda Carter is naturally in her element and giddy with excitement as their Royal Highnesses arrive in Walford but it wasn’t just her, as for all of us it was an extremely special day that will go down in EastEnders’ history.”

Why are Prince Charles and Camilla on EastEnders?

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will celebrate amongst the residents of Albert Square in the upcoming Eastenders Special.

The episode will see Prince Charles and Camilla surprise the Walford residents at a street party held to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

On arrival the Duke and Duchess are introduced by Mick Carter who is played by Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright who plays Linda Carter – before introducing them to their fellow Walford residents.

In the scene, Mick says to the Prince of Wales: “Welcome to your great-great-great-grandmother’s boozer.”

Charles and Camilla can also be seen surrounded by the soap stars, raising a glass in honour of the royal celebrations.

Ahead of the celebratory episode, Actress Kellie Bright said: “I did think what amazing sports that they’re just willing to do it.

“It must have been nerve-racking for them and completely out of their norm. So I just hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.”
