Will there be another season of Power Book 2?

A second season for Power Book II: Ghost has been confirmed, much to the delight of fans.

US network Starz announced the news in an Instagram post, sharing a some short clips from the show, with the words: “Season 2 is coming #powerneverends.”

However, it might be a while in the making considering that Power is already snowed under with spin-off seasons.

Power creator Courtney Kemp gave Deadline some insider info about what Season 2 has in store.



Power Book II’s first season ended with a bang

She said: “Tariq’s class, the Canonical Studies class, moves into an ethics unit.

“So, next year we will be exploring ethics and I will leave it at that.”

But she said that Ghost would not stop there, revealing that there were plenty more series to come.

She said: “In my mind I have five or six seasons”.

How did Power Book 2 season 1 end?

The finale of Power Book II saw the end of Tariq’s mother’s trial.

Summoned to court to testify for Tasha, Tariq ultimately turned on Cooper Saxe.

Tasha was put into witness protection when she dramatically testified that Tommy killed Ghost.

But instead of going into protection, Tasha planned to skip town – but before she flees she needed to pay off Monet to free Tariq.

When does the next Power spin-off air?

The next spin-off series to hit our screens will be Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which has been confirmed by US network Starz.

It will hit our screens in Summer 2021 and will document 50 Cent’s character Kanan teenage years.
