A Touch Of Frost is arguably one of the most iconic series in British TV history having aired for nearly 18 years.

David Jason – DI Jack Frost
David Jason is regarded as one of the best comedic actors in British history
David Jason has enjoyed a long and successful career after starring in A Touch of Frost.
He went on to become well known for his role as Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter in the iconic BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses.
He also explored his career in TV on David Jason: My Life On Screen, as well as presenting David Jason’s Secret Service and David Jason: Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
In 2020, Jason kept up with the new tradition, starring in David Jason’s Great British Inventions.
The 82-year-old is commonly regarded as one of the best comedic actors in British history.
Bruce Alexander – Superintendent Stanley Mullett
Bruce Alexander also featured in 2019 series Doctors
Bruce Alexander became a fan favourite for his role as Superintendent Stanley Mullett, the superior of David Jason’s character.
He went on to play Peter Bachman in 2013’s Love and Marriage.
In 2019 he had roles in Gentleman Jack and the BBC soap opera Doctors as Ray Hopkins.
Alexander also went on to feature in episodes of numerous TV series, including The Bill, Casualty, EastEnders, Midsomer Murders and Doc Martin.
John Lyons – DS George Toolan
John Lyons has enjoyed both stage and screen success
John Lyons enjoyed a hugely successful career prior to his tenure in A Touch Of Frost, featuring in TV programmes such as George and Mildred, On the Buses and Upstairs Downstairs.
Portraying Detective Sergeant George Toolan in the ITV drama, Lyons juggled his time between the show and other popular shows such as Spooks, Doctors and Shameless.
Lyons eventually slowed the pace of his television career, opting to appear in more stage shows.
Arthur White – PC Ernie Trigg

Arthur White is actually the older brother of David Jason.
A Touch Of Frost was arguably White’s most notable work, though he did go on to feature in The Darling Buds Of May, again with his younger brother.
In the sixties, he starred in Emergency Ward 10 before going on to have parts in Heartbeat, Family Affairs and As Time Goes By.
