IN the decades since it first began airing, the ITV show Emmerdale has catapulted a number of soap stars to fame.
So which Emmerdale cast members have been successful since leaving the Dales? From Jenna Coleman to Mike Parr, here’s everything you need to know to get your Yorkshire Dales nostalgia going…

Roxanne Pallett (Jo Sugden)
Roxanne Pallett played Jo Sugden on the show from 2005 through to 2009 and was at the centre of a hard-hitting domestic violence storyline with her husband.
Andy left Jo with broken bones on more than one occasion and landed her in hospital several times.
After finding fame in Emmerdale, the star showed off her vocals as Gloria Estefan in Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes and also competed in Soapstar Superstar.
In 2009, she also appearance in Dancing on Ice and lasted eight weeks on the show before she was eliminated.
Since leaving Emmerdale, Roxanne has also tried her hand at feature films and appeared in lake Placid 3 and Wrong Turn 6.
Roxanne came into the spotlight again in 2018 when she appeared in Celebrity Big Brother alongside Ryan Thomas.
Jenna Coleman (Jasmine Thomas)
Jenna Coleman’s breakthrough role in Emmerdale involved her character Jasmine discovering her sexuality.
Jenna’s career then climbed higher and higher as she went on to appear in Waterloo Road and Titanic before hitting the jackpot as Doctor Who’s companion Clara Oswald in 2012.
She then starred as Queen Victoria in ITV drama Victoria, having undergone a dramatic transformation since being a teen star in Emmerdale.
Vicky Binns (Ollie Reynolds)
Vicky Binns played Ollie Reynolds on the ITV soap from 1999 to 2003.
The Mancunian actress went on to play Molly Dobbs in Coronation Street before being killed off in the dramatic 2010 tram crash.
After leaving soapland, Vicky then appeared in Channel 4 drama The Mill.
The star also tried her hand at a variety of stage roles including The Winter’s Tale and To Kill a Mockingbird at Bolton Octagon, and also toured as Linda Lamont in hit musical Singin’ in the Rain.
Daniel Brocklebank (Ivan Jones)
Initially hired for three episodes in 2005, Daniel Brocklebank ended up staying in Emmerdale for over a year.
After leaving his role as binman Ivan in the Yorkshire-set soap, Daniel went on to star in The Bill, EastEnders, Doctors, WPC 56, Casualty, Holby City and Waterloo Road.
Daniel couldn’t bring himself to leave soapland and is currently starring in Coronation Street as vicar Billy Mayhew.
Amy Nuttall (Chloe Atkinson)
Amy stayed in her role as Emmerdale’s Chloe Atkinson from 2000 to 2005.
She went on to appear in dramas Hotel Babylon and Moving on before landing the role of Ethel Parks in Downton Abbey.
Amy also appeared in The Musketeers, Death in Paradise and New Tricks since leaving the ITV soap, and also starred on stage in The Winter’s Tale with former Emmerdale star Vicky Binns.
She also appeared in series two of ITV drama Liar in 2019 alongside Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt.
Mike Parr (Ross Barton)
Mike Parr starred in Emmerdale from 2013 until 2018, departing from the village shortly after his character Ross Barton’s life was turned upside down by an acid attack.
After leaving the set of Emmerdale, Mike starred as Ben in the Sky Original series Bulletproof.
The actor then moved to America to try and break Hollywood, eventually landing the role of Adam Woods in upcoming movie Our Home.
He is also set to appear as Lister in gangster film The Spyce of Life.
