ANIME fans have been patiently waiting for a new season of the Japanese manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
On December 5, 2021, the show finally returned but now many want to know where they can view it to stay up to date with Tanjiro Kamado’s adventures.
Where can I watch season two of Demon Slayer?
Season two of the hit anime series can be viewed a number of ways.
Fans throughout the United States can watch it through Crunchroll and Funimation, the only catch is that these sites air it in Japanese but do offer English subtitles.
Season 1, which debuted in 2019, is available to stream on Netflix, however, at this time it remains unclear if the platform will pick up season too as well.
How many episodes are in this season?
Fans enjoyed 26 episodes during the show’s first season, but it remains unclear how many will be in this one.
It has been reported that the episode count could range anywhere from 11 to 18 but an exact number has yet to be released.
The new season first premiered with an hour-long episode on December 5, which picked up right where the movie left off and introduced a new demon for Tanjiro to fight.
What happened during season one of Demon Slayer?
Season one of the anime series focused on Tanjiro’s tragic story and showed viewers how he became a demon slayer.
His story begins after he returned home to find his family slaughtered and his sister Nezuko, who was the only survivor, turned into a demon.
Tanjiro then set out to find the demon that took away his family in an attempt avenge their death and find a cure that could bring his sister back.
Following the release of season one, fans then saw Tanjiro’s journey on the big screen in the Demon Slayer movie which premiered back in April 2021.
Prior to the start of season two, they were also able to watch seven episodes of Demon Slayer Mugen Train arc to prepare for what many say might be Demon Slayer’s biggest season yet.
