Why is Dr Hilary Jones not on Good Morning Britain?

It is yet to be confirmed as to why Dr Hilary Jones did not appear on Good Morning Britain February 7.

The GP was last seen speaking on the ITV show on Monday, January 24 in the wake of news about a culling of hamsters in Hong Kong.

During the discussion, he said: “Risk of transmission to your pet from a human is very unlikely, is very rare.

“Yes, large cats, tigers have had respiratory illnesses as a result of Covid, we’ve heard about ferrets, mink.

“Certainly there were millions of farmed mink in Denmark that were culled because they were transmitting one to another. But that’s a rare event and it hasn’t been reproduced.

“So I think the risk is very small.”

Who is Dr Hilary Jones?

Hilary Robert Jones MBE is a 68-year-old English general practitioner, presenter and writer from Hammersmith, London.

He attended Latymer Upper School before qualifying as a medical doctor at the Royal Free Hospital, London in 1976.

Jones then became a junior doctor at Basingstoke Hospital from 1982 and then went on to train and become a fully qualified general practitioner.

As of 2010, he still practises part-time as a NHS GP.

He is now mostly known for his media appearances, especially on TV.

He has written for News of the World and The Celeb Report on Sunday magazines.

Is he married with children?

Jones is married to fitness expert Dee Thresher.

The pair met while working together on GMTV’s Bikini Diet segment back in 2008.

During that time, Jones was married to his second wife, and their relationship remained platonic until sometime later.

He was previously married to Anne Marie Vives, from 1977 to 1987, and together, they welcomed two sons Tristan and Sebastian.

Three years later, he married his second wife, Sarah Harvey, which lasted for 18 years, from 1990 until 2009.

They are the proud parents of twins Samantha and Rupert, and son Dylan.

Then in 2016, the TV star went on to tie the knot with Dee.

Between Jones and Dee, they have eight children and at least three grandchildren.

“It’s lovely being a grandparent, I’m sure we’ll have more,” Jones remarked in 2019.
