Where is Longmeadow garden in Gardeners’ World and can I visit it?

GARDENERS’ World showcases some of the most beautiful gardens thanks to experts who share their best gardening tips.

Main presenter Monty Don revealed that his filming is done in Longmeadow Garden and here is all you need to know about it.

Where is Longmeadow garden in Gardeners World?

Longmeadow garden is located in Monty Don’s home in Herefordshire.

It is a short drive away from the market town of Leominster.

It is found in Ivington, a small village which is about two miles outside the town centre.

Don transformed his Longmeadow garden and had it split into four separate gardens: The Cottage Garden, The Jewel Garden, The Paradise Garden and The Vegetable Garden.

Can I visit Longmeadow in Gardeners’ World?

You are not on your own if you have a wish of visiting the breathtaking Longmeadow Garden.

But unfortunately, Monty Don confirmed that the garden is not open to anyone to visit.

Don had posted to his Twitter saying, “Can I make clear that Longmeadow is not open to the public.

“Not on Fridays or any other day.

“You can ‘visit’ via Gardeners’ World only.”

Longmeadow is a private garden that has been owned by Don and his wife since 1991.

Don never opened it to the public and when asked by fans if they can have a visit, he rejected their request.

A fan told him that it is on her wish list to visit but told her that fans can only see Longmeadow on screen.

Another asked for a plan of the garden and Don said that some have been issued in Gardeners’ World Magazine “on a number of occasions”.

So if it’s on your bucket list, you might have to cross it out and keep ‘visiting’ it through Gardeners’ World.

How can I watch Gardeners’ World?

Gardeners’ World airs a new episode every Friday at 8pm on BBC Two.

The first episode of this year’s series premiered on March 11 and the second episode is set to come out on March 18.
