BIG BROTHER has remained a TV and pop culture staple for the past 20-plus years.
Although each season has a different gimmick and theme, CBS annually films the show in the same location.

Where is the Big Brother USA house?
The Big Brother USA house is actually Sound Stage 18 in the CBS Studios Center.
Also known as the Radford Studio Center, BB USA’s filming studio is located in the Studio City district of Los Angeles.
In May 1928, Radford Studio Center was founded by silent film producer Mack Sennett.
In addition to BB USA, the studio has served as a production location for several other hit shows.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Talk, Will & Grace, and That 70’s Show were also filmed at Radford.
Year after year, Sound Stage 18 is redesigned to fit the theme of that season’s BB USA.
For season 24, the format was festival-themed and required the House Guests to participate in challenges that involved a music festival, a renaissance festival, and so forth.
Season 23 featured a beach house theme and nautical challenges were a part of the competition.
What is Big Brother about?
BB USA is a spinoff of John de Mol Jr’s original Dutch show of the same name that premiered in 1997.
Mol Jr. is credited with the creation of Big Brother, Fear Factor, and The Voice.
Each season of BB USA features 10 to 17 contestants who compete for a $750,000 cash prize.
Throughout production, the House Guests are isolated from society.

While they are unable to communicate with the outside world, the contestants are recorded every hour of the day until the show wraps filming.
“It takes courage to put yourself out there 24/7. I don’t know if the audience always appreciates that,” said the reality program’s executive Allison Grodner.
Grodner told Variety: “There’s so much that happens in the house, and it’s hard even with three hours of primetime to really tell all the stories.
“What the live feeds give us is another way. That’s what makes it challenging sometimes…because you’re seeing real human beings, some with more flaws than others.
“It’s a social experiment using a group of people with different life experiences.
“They all bring that in and learn from each other. They learn, they change, they grow.
“Hopefully by watching that, we’re also making a positive impact on the outside world.
“Listen, it’s tough. But it’s also what makes the show so unique.”
How can I watch Big Brother USA?
On August 2, 2023, BB USA is scheduled to premiere its 25th season via CBS.
Every Wednesday at 8pm EST, the reality program is slated to drop a new episode until the season finale.
Past seasons of the series are available to stream on Hulu, Paramount+, and Netflix.
Hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, the show debuted its first season on July 5, 2000.
