Big Brother is back after a five-year break
Big Brother has returned to our screens after a five-year hiatus with a brand new cast. Unlike many reality shows today, the original Big Brother focused on a group of regular everyday people rather than hand-picking influencers, models, or celebrities' children. Around 18,000 people applied to be on the show this year, but only 16 of them were chosen to enter the house.
Farida
Farida, one of this year's housemates, is no stranger to the TV world. She previously appeared on Come Dine With Me in 2009, where she showcased her skills in cooking traditional Indian food. She has also recently appeared on Blankety Blank. Farida aims to use her platform on Big Brother to represent Muslim women and break stereotypes.
Olivia
Olivia, a 23-year-old dancer from Glasgow, has also had her share of TV exposure. She was featured on an episode of Rate My Takeaway on TikTok, where she worked behind the counter at a burger joint and gave her recommendations. TikTok users were quick to recognize her when they saw her on Big Brother.
Kerry
Kerry, a 40-year-old NHS manager from Essex, previously won £35,000 on Deal or No Deal in an episode that was eventful due to a power cut in the studio. She also appeared on a skit for Adele at The BBC where she auditioned to be an Adele impersonator. Kerry, who has multiple sclerosis, chose to apply for Big Brother this year because the show was looking for real people from all walks of life.
Paul
Paul, a 23-year-old security officer from Liverpool, has an OnlyFans account where he shares explicit content. Unfortunately, some of his nude photos leaked during Big Brother's launch, causing a stir among viewers. He also mentioned his interest in boxing and his love for sex as he entered the house.
Zac
Zac, a 28-year-old model from Manchester, has worked with popular brands like Asos and BoohooMan. He has a strong presence on social media and has gained recognition from fans who have shopped at these brands. Despite his glamorous career, Zac's upbringing in a Thailand jungle contrasts with the Big Brother house.
