THE judges are tasked with sniffing – and tasting – out the best dishes in Great British Menu.

Who are the Great British Menu judges?
Tom Kerridge
Thomas Kerridge is a 48-year-old English Michelin-starred chef.
He is no stranger to the series, having participated as a chef in 2010 and 2011 and winning the main course round both years, and returning in 2012 as a mentor and guide.
Speaking about the show, Kerridge said: “I’ve been involved with the show in some respect now for 12/13 years and I know how much it means, not just to the chefs that compete, but also the British food scene in general.
“It has been hugely influential, in terms of letting everybody know how great chefs and cooking is up and down the country, in all the nations and regions.”
Nisha Katona
Nisha Katona is a 50-year-old British chef.
She is the founder of Mowgli Street Food restaurants and the Mowgli Trust charity.
She is also a food writer, television presenter and was a child protection barrister for 20 years.
Nisha is one of the UK’s most successful food entrepreneurs,
Ed Gamble
Edward Stephenson Jamison Gamble is a 35-year-old English comedian.
He is an award-winning comic and co-host of the chart topping food podcast Off Menu.
Speaking about appearing on the show, Gamble said: “Doing my food podcast for so long means that I am very qualified for this job and I know way more than Tom and Nisha who both kept complaining that nobody served chicken nuggets. (They might have edited that out).
“I can’t wait for people to see what the chefs have made this series – the brief is incredible and they really rose to the challenge. And I rose to my difficult challenge of stuffing my greedy face.”
Who were the previous Great British Menu judges?
Rachel Khoo
Rachel is a chef who appeared on BBC’s Little Paris Kitchen.
She’s also written numerous books and is editor-in-chief of Khoollect, a lifestyle magazine.
Oliver Peyton
Oliver Peyton is a restaurateur who founded Peyton and Byrne.
Has was awarded an OBE for services to the hospitality industry and part of that work has included authoring two cookbooks.
He’s had been a judge on Great British Menu since the show began in 2006.
Matthew Fort
Matthew Fort is a food writer and critic, having begun his food writing career in 1989.
He’s authored of several books on food and was previously Food and Drink editor at The Guardian.
Who is presenting Great British Menu 2022?
Andi Oliver
Fan will be pleased to see that Andi Oliver is reprising her role as presenter once again.
Andi is a restaurateur and food broadcaster, having also presented and judged on Neneh & Andi Dish It Up, ITV’s Food Glorious Food and Radio 4’s The Kitchen Cabinet.
When is Great British Menu on TV?
The first episode of Great British Menu 2022 begins at 8pm on Tuesday, February 1 on BBC Two.
There are three one-hour episodes each week, airing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm.
