THE new Masked Singer spin-off is aired nightly on ITV with a new host of celebrities hoping to dance their way to victory.
Twelve new celebrities had been dressed up in zany costumes, dancing for a chance to win The Masked Dancer. However, only six contestants now remain as Beetroot has recently being unmasked and eliminated.

Who is the Beetroot on The Masked Dancer?
Hoping to Beet all their rivals to the top spot and become the winner of The Masked Dancer was Beetroot.
But in a new episode broadcasted before the show made way for friendly football, Dita Von Teese was revealed to be hiding under the root veggie costume.
“I loved wearing the disguise”, said the 48 year old American burlesque star to ITV following the shocking unmasking. “But it was torture not knowing who the others were.”
Fans were stunned to find Marilyn Manson’s ex-wife in the whacky line up.
What were the fan theories?

Many fans were convinced they knew who Beetroot was and none of their theories included Dita Von Teese.
In their first clue package, Beetroot said: “Hey, sugar, I’m Beetroot.
“I’m just a fun town girl from way up north.
“Growing up far away from the plant worlds of stardom inspired me to find out who I am today.
“Look around, I’m very happy with my plot, it don’t impress me much. I’m a glass half full of girl, I take pleasure from the small things.
“It’s early closing time out here in the country, no no more hints for you. I’ll let you decide if this is all hearsay or not.”
Fans guessed it was Suzanne Shaw.
One tweeted: “The Hearsay thing is making me think it’s Suzanne Shaw #MaskedDancer.”
While another said: “Beetroot Suzanne Shaw? #MaskedDancer.”
A third wrote: “Or Kim Marsh or Suzanne Shaw #MaskedDancer.”
After a post introducing newcomer Beetroot was made on The Masked Dancer UK’s official Instagram page (@maskedsingeruk), fans had started to speculate who the dancing veggie might be.
Rita Ora
Leaving their suggestions in the comments section of the Instagram post, many had believed that Beetroot was a very familiar face.
“This could be Rita (Ora)“, one fan wrote.
The singer was previously a judge on The Masked Dancer’s sister show and fans believed she would be making a return to the show as a contestant.
Another fan speculated: “I’m already thinking Beetroot is Dianne Buswell“.
The Australian redhead is best known for her appearances as a professional dancer on BBC’s Strictly come Dancing and fans of the show suspected the choice of a beet as a costume may be a nod to Buswell‘s flaming locks.
When is The Masked Dancer on TV and how can I watch it?
The Masked Dancer launched on May 29, 2021 at 7pm on ITV.
The third instalment airs at the 7.30pm tonight, May 31.
Airing over seven episodes, each show is 90 minutes long.
