Who is Cherish Finden?

Cherish is a multi-award winning Executive Pastry Chef from Singapore.

She started her first job aged 14 and soon asked if she could work in the kitchen, before she began attending cookery school at the age of 16.

She soon honed her skills in the best hotels in Singapore, including the famous six star Raffles Hotel and The Sheraton.

She has worked at The Langham, London, and in June 2020 Pan Pacific revealed she is joining their new London hotel as Executive Pastry Chef.

She will be bringing a “slice of Singapore” to the afternoon tea menu.

Her work includes creating irresistible desserts inspired by the collections of top designers and brands.

Is Cherish Finden married and does she have kids?

Cherish has spoken about her husband who she moved to London with in the past.

The couple live in Kent together.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post, Cherish said: “I adore the tranquillity and outdoor activities there: Sunday picnics, horse riding, hiking, strawberry picking.”

It is not known if the couple have kids.

Finden shared some of her most memorable moments as a judge on Bake Off: The Professionals.

She revealed: “I liked the showpiece based on the world of magic where some of the contestants dressed up and put on a show.

“But another time, one of the showpieces smashed down to the floor even before we judged, my heart went out to the contestants and I really felt for them.”

She added: “I wanted to put on an apron and jump in to help!”

What other shows has Cherish Finden been on?

Cherish is no stranger to being in the spotlight and has been on a number of TV shows during her career.

These include Heston’s Great British Food on Channel 4, BBC’s MasterChef, Australian MasterChef, BBC2’s An Extra Slice and Junior Bake Off.

She was asked to design a cake for the Queen’s 90th birthday, and she ended up creating Windsor Castle in cake form for the occasion.

What time is Bake Off: The Professionals on?

Bake Off: The Professionals 2021 will begin on Tuesday, May 25, at 8pm on Channel 4.

In each episode the new teams must summon up all their patisserie prowess to wow the judges and stay in the competition.

Twelve teams of pastry chefs from restaurants, hotels, and small businesses in a bid to take home the trophy.
