Who is Dick Strawbridge’s son James?
James Strawbridge is a celebrity chef and an expert on how to live sustainably.
He is also the son of Dick Strawbridge from Channel 4’s Escape to the Chateau.
James has an impressive resume – he was previously executive head chef at St Austell Brewery and executive development chef at The Bake Factory.
In 2013, opened his own food business, the Posh Pasty Company.
Alongside his pasty company, he runs Strawbridge Kitchen which is a food photography and recipe development company.
He resides on the South Cornish coast with his wife Holly and their three young children.
What TV shows has James featured on?
James has featured on his parents’ Channel 4 show. He made an appearance in the show’s sixth series.
He joined the couple in the French chateau to help create a dream menu Angel’s parents, Jenny and Steve, for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Zero-waste vegetable cookery is out internationally September 2021.
In 2006, he appeared in his own documentary series It’s Not Easy Being Green, which saw James and his family move into a centuries-old farmhouse.
They converted the old building into an eco-friendly place to live.
He has also appeared on This Morning, where he showed off his green cookery skills.
Rumours of a spin-off show from Escape To The Chateau have circulated.
The potential new series is reported to be based on their book Practical Self Sufficiency: The Complete Guide To Sustainable Living.
Who is James’ mother?
James is the son of Dick Strawbridge and his first wife Brigit.
Brigit is an environmental activist, who is known for her love of insects.
As well as James, they also had daughter Charlotte, who tends to keep out of the public eye.
Dick has since had another two children with his new partner Angel: Arthur Donald, 8, and Dorothy Francis, 7.
