SIXTEEN strangers took the plunge and made the ultimate commitment to someone they’d never met on series six of Married At First Sight UK.
Among those who took a gamble in the hopes of finding true love was military man Franky. Here’s everything we know about him…
Who is Franky Spencer?
Franky is a 48-year-old Strength and Conditioning Coach based in Dubai.
He was the sixth series’ oldest contestant and has been married before.
Franky has been living in the United Arab Emirates for the past fifteen years after leaving a life in the armed forces behind.
The former soldier also makes a living as a boxing and MMA referee, which he also practices himself.

When was Franky Spencer on Married at First Sight UK?
Franky was on Married at First Sight Uk in September 2021.
He was matched with personal trainer Marilyse Corrigan.
Things didn’t exactly start off well for the pair as Franky began to deliver his speech saying: “Ladies and gentleman, I will actually enjoy this speech because it’s highly likely again that I will get to speak for a whole ten minutes without my wife interrupting me.
“The perfect marriage is about the growth within the relationship and overcoming the obstacles together. You got that, yeah?”
And while the pair seemed to then get on during their honeymoon, things turned for the worst during “Yes Week” when Franky started having a swearing outburst at his wife.
Marilyse later admitted: “I hope I haven’t disappointed you that I do have children and that I can’t move to Dubai.
Franky responded: “Everybody in life says ideally this and ideally that. I also said ideally maybe she doesn’t have kids.”
The mum of two later told the cameras: “To be honest with you, I was offended because, you know, I have got children and I don’t want that to be a problem.
“I don’t like to waste time. Maybe we’re not meant to be. Maybe this isn’t right for me.”
Despite the ups and downs, Franky and Marilyse decided to stay together at the final commitment ceremony.
Are Franky and Marilyse still together?
The pair revealed in October 2021 that they had parted ways shortly after the show’s reunion aired.
Franky posted an emotional statement on Instagram confirming the split saying: “It’s very sad because we get along great and have gotten through a lot of obstacles but it just hasn’t worked out.”
He also said that they had remained friends and added: “Thank you Maz you’re a star! You and your family have been a very special chapter in my life.”
Marilyse also confirmed the breakup, calling Franky an “awesome, kind-hearted, incredible guy.”
What has Franky done since Married At First Sight?
It seems as though Franky has headed back to Dubai.
It looks like he has continued working as a fitness coach.
