ITALIAN pro dancer Graziano Di Prima has been engaged for over two years as of September 2021.
The Strictly choreographer popped the question to his long-term girlfriend Giada Lini. Get the lowdown on her.
Who is Graziano Di Prima’s fiancee Giada Lini?
Graziano has been sharing a life with fellow professional dancer Giada for a number of years.
Hailing from Venice, Italy, she describes herself as a “Showdance Latin World Champion finalist” in both her Twitter and Instagram bios.
According to her social media, Giada is extremely close to her family.
Her passion for dancing appears to be inherited as her mother is a dance teacher at the International Dance Bassano studio.
Her brother Leonardo has also followed in these footsteps as he is a competitive dancer.
In 2018, after travelling around the world to take part in dance competitions, Giada became a professional dancer on Strictly, alongside Graziano, as a backup dancer.
When did Graziano Di Prima and Giada Lini get engaged?
Unlike many others, Graziano and Giada’s relationship – which begun in 2015 – continues to withstand the Strictly curse.
Graziano even went a step further in May, 2019, by asking for Giada’s hand, the day after celebrating his 25th birthday.
In a grand gesture, the dancer got on one knee during a performance of Burn The Floor in Watford, right in front of a cheering crowd.
Their co-stars also looked on, highly emotional, as Giada said yes.
The smitten pair then performed an intimate routine before being applauded and embracing.
Graziano and Giada were due to tie the knot in 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to postpone their wedding.
“Our love is very strong so we can easily wait another year”, wrote Giada in a post shared on Instagram.
Speaking to Hello Magazine, that same year, Graziano shared his intimate wedding plans: “I’m going to marry her in the little church in my small town.”
Both Graziano and Giada have made up their minds and will have their special day in Sicily in 2021. No exact date has yet been revealed.
Do Graziano Di Prima and Giada Lini have kids?
Graziano and Giada are not known to have any children, as of yet.
But while they were waiting to get hitched, in April, 2020, the pair decided to welcome a new member in their family.
The lovebirds adopted an adorable miniature Pinscher toy dog.
Graziano shared the news on Instagram and asked his followers to help him name the pup. “Rio or Romolo”, he asked.
The couple then confirmed the dog’s name in another Instagram post.
“Introducing our Rio”, the caption read.
When is Strictly Come Dancing 2021 on TV and how can I watch it?
While she won’t be stepping into the Strictly ballroom, there’s no doubt Giada will be cheering her fiancé on.
Graziano is one of the professional dancers to take part in Strictly Come Dancing 2021.
The dance competition will hit the screens with a 19th series on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 7:45pm on BBC One.
