Actor Richard E Grant will be heading the 2023 BAFTA awards.
Grant, who first appeared on our screens in Withnail and I, will be hosting the gala event.
This Morning‘s Alison Hammond will be hosting a new BAFTA studio, offering viewers an access-all-areas glimpse into the event.
Film critic Ali Plumb and presenter Vick Pope will be leading the red carpet experience on the show.
They will be speaking to guests as they head into the BAFTA awards.
Mercury Prize-winning artist Little Simz will be performing at the ceremony it has been confirmed.
Who has hosted the Bafta TV awards before?
The ceremony was previously hosted by Richard Ayoade had presented the awards since taking over from Graham Norton in 2019.
Ayoade had often taken a swipe at topical celebrities when hosting the show, it remains to be seen if Richard E Grant takes the same approach.
Sue Perkins presided over the TV Baftas in 2018.
The writer, presenter and comedian is best known as one half of the comedy double act Mel and Sue, who hosted the Great British Bake Off until 2016.
In her Bafta opening speech, she cracked jokes about gender inequality in television, and began by describing the awards as the “original home of the hostile environment”.
When are the Baftas 2023?
The Bafta TV Awards 2022 will take place on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
The ceremony will be broadcast on BBC iPlayer but it can also be viewed on BAFTA’s YouTube Livestream.
The big event is taking place at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
