Who is hosting the BAFTAs 2022?

Australian actress and comedian Rebel Wilson has been announced as the host for the 2022 Baftas.

Rebel is best known for starring in the Pitch Perfect film series as Fat Amy.

She has gone on to star in a handful of other movies such as The Hustle, How to Be Single and Bridesmaids.

The movie star made news last year after she began an intensive weight-loss journey resulting in her losing a whopping 60 pounds.

Who has hosted the BAFTAs before?

In 2018 Stephen Fry stepped down as the host of the awards, having presented for 12 ceremonies.

Mariella Frostrup co-presented the award show alongside Stephen Fry in 2001.

Joanna Lumley was then the first woman to host the Baftas alone in 2018.

Joanna then hosted the 2019 awards the following year.

Graham Norton hosted in 2020.

Clara Amfo, Dermot O’Leary and Edith Bowman all hosted the show in 2o21.

When are the BAFTAs 2022?

The Baftas will be held on Sunday March 13, 2022.

This year’s ceremony will take place in the Royal Albert Hall.

It will air at 7pm and can be watched on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
