EMMERDALE actor Joe-Warren Plant will be one of Dancing on Ice’s youngest-ever contestants when he takes to the ice.
The 18-year-old soap star will open the show on Sunday, January 17 with 2018 champion Vanessa Bauer.
Who is Joe-Warren Plant?
Joe-Warren Plant is an 18-year-old actor from Blackpool, Lancs.
He has appeared on popular soap Emmerdale since he was eight years old.
Joe revealed the news that he was performing on the skating show on This Morning in September.
He said: “I’m super excited, I can’t even describe it. I’ve got the time off Emmerdale to really focus on training, and you know, try my best and learn some new skills.
“It’s a new challenge I have never done anything like that before, so yeah, super excited.”
Does he have a girlfriend?
Joe recently split with girlfriend Nicole Hadlow, 24, after his Dancing on Ice training reportedly put pressure on their relationship.
But, they may have rekindled their romance, according to a cryptic message.
In the wake of their break-up, the pair notably removed all trace of each other on their social media pages.
However, they have since become pals online again and Nicole has now sparked whispers of a reunion.
Taking to Instagram, Nicole shared a cryptic message about ‘forgiveness’ with her 17,000 followers.
It said: “We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. So don’t stay mad for too long.
“Learn to forgive and love with all your heart.”
The message finished: “Don’t worry about the people who don’t like you. Enjoy the ones who love you.”
The Celeb Report told in November how Joe and Nicole had started to hit the skids after he was partnered with professional skater Vanessa Bauer for DOI.
Joe had dated Nicole for three years but moved out of the home he shares with her.
Who is his Dancing on Ice partner?
Vanessa Putri Bauer is a 24-year-old German dancer, acrobat and ice skater.
She has performed on an ice rink on board one of the biggest luxury cruise ships in the world, HMS Harmony Of The Seas.
As a result, she declares “life is a holiday” – and for her, it literally is.
But maintaining a body that’s strong and agile enough to dance on the ice is no cake walk.
She regularly posts pictures of her workouts on Instagram and has an incredibly muscular figure.
Vanessa insists she doesn’t need supplements to make herself strong, just hard work and healthy food.
In July 2017 Vanessa left her job on the cruise ship and moved to north London.
She has been practising her skating skills at Planet Ice in Hemel Hempstead.
Vanessa was paired with Jake Quickenden for the 2018 series of the show and the duo went on to be crowned the winners.
She was runner up again in 2020 with street dancer Perri Kiely.
Who does he play in Emmerdale?
Joe has played the character of Jacob Gallagher on the ITV soap since the age of eight.
He first appeared on the show in 2010 and has been at the centre of some major storylines.
Joe’s character Jacob was temporarily written out of the soap in November after he said he was going to stay with his mum in Portugal.
