Who is Suranne Jones’ husband Laurence Akers?

Suranne Jones’s husband Laurence Akers works as a screenwriter.

The 50-year-old wrote his first full length film Gone, which starred his wife, in 2017.

According to his writer’s profile, Laurence is currently working on an original drama series with Expectation Entertainment.

He’s also worked as a producer for the BBC.

Before he moved into the world of television and film, Laurence worked as a magazine editor, most notably for Nikon Pro magazine in 2020.

When did the couple meet and do they have kids?

Laurence and wife Suranne met in 2013 at the wedding of actress Sally Lindsay and musician Steve White and the pair tied the knot themselves in 2014 after less than a year of dating.

In March 2016 Suranne gave birth to the couple’s only child, a son whose name Laurence and Suranna have decided to keep private.
