NEVER Mind The Buzzcocks is getting a reboot, seven years after it was last broadcasted.
The music-themed TV staple will be switching from BBC to Sky and NOW as it was announced ahead of its autumn premiere. But who will be its host?

The Never Mind The Buzzcocks reboot will be given a new presenter.
On July 14, 2021, Sky announced that British stand-up comedian and actor Greg Davies has accepted the role of presenter.
He is best known for his roles on the screen, particularly as Greg in We Are Klang, the Taskmaster in Taskmaster (for which he even won a Bafta in July, 2020), Dan Davies in Channel 4’s Mandown and as Mr Gilbert in The Inbetweeners.
Greg is noted for his height, as he stands at an impressive 6 feet and 8 inches.
“I have always loved Never Mind The Buzzcocks and am thrilled to be the new host on Sky”, Greg said.
The newest version of Never Mind The Buzzcocks will also feature team captains.
The Mighty Boosh’s Noel Fielding will return to the programme, and will be seen alongside Daisy May Cooper and Jamali Maddix.
Each will be joined by music and comedy stars, ready to compete against each other.
Who has previously hosted Never Mind The Buzzcocks?
Originally broadcasted on the BBC, the show was first presented by British comedian, writer and radio DJ Mark Lamarr.
He hosted the show for nine years, from the first season (1996) to the 17th season, in 2005.
His spot was then filled by a series of guest hosts during the programme’s 18th instalment in 2006.
Comedian Simon Amstell then took over as a presenter from series 19 to series 22.
In an email sent to his fans on April 24, 2009, he announced he would not come back to Never Mind The Buzzcocks, claiming he wanted to concentrate more on his “life work.”
Season 23 of the show was, once again, chaired by a new series of guest hosts before comedian Rhod Gilbert was recruited for Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ 28th instalment in 2014.
This was the final season before the show’s seven-year long break from the screen.
The show was cancelled by the BBC in 2015 to “create space for new entertainment formats.”
When is the new series on TV?
The exact date of release for the reboot of Never Mind The Buzzcocks is yet to be announced.
It can, however, be expected on the screens later this year as Sky has commissioned the series for eight episodes as well as a Christmas special.
Talkback, the company behind the original show, is also involved in the revival.
“Viewers can expect the unpredictability of the original series, with some of the best known and loved rounds remaining, alongside some new surprises thrown in along the way”, Sky teased.
