THE Apprentice has returned to BBC One with a brand new series, and a brand new batch of hopeful candidates.
Sadly for one, they have already heard those immortal words from Lord Alan Sugar, “You’re fired!”
Emma Brown was the first person to leave The Apprentice 2023
Who left The Apprentice last night?
Emma Browne was the unlucky woman to be sent home first on The Apprentice last night (January 5, 2023).
Despite securing the most sales for her team during the excursions task on the Caribbean island of Antigua, Lord Sugar still pointed his finger at her, and said: “Emma, you’re fired!”
After her exit, the senior account executive from County Kildare said: “I got the most sales. I was accurate in saying the beach wasn’t a good location.
“I brought a lot of energy to the girls’ team, which I think was seen as well and highlighted.
“I am a very positive person, and I remained positive throughout.”
Viewers felt she was harshly treated by her teammates and even thrown under the bus in the boardroom, with many claiming Marnie Swindells should have been axed.
One wrote on Twitter: “Oh come on Emma didn’t deserve to go.. Marnie ya sly one!”
Another posted: “Never in a million years should Emma have went.”
What happened in the latest episode of The Apprentice?
Emma’s exit came after the girls were beaten in the first challenge: selling cultural tours in Antigua.
The girls and boys faced off on the island, flogging very different cultural tours.
It wasn’t long before the girls found themselves in a spot of bother as they tried to sell pricey catamaran excursions on deserted beaches.
Cue lots of bickering and blaming of each other over the poor choice of location.
After their win, the boys, led by Joe Phillips, got to enjoy cocktails as they retired to the £17million mansion they will call home for the duration of the show.
