EVERY year, Love Your Garden’s Alan Titchmarsh travels around the country to give green fingered fans a garden makeover.

Since the hit ITV show started in 2011, hundreds of back yards have been transformed – but some viewers may wonder who foots the bill for them?

Who pays for the transformations on Love Your Garden?

Although ITV have never revealed they are the ones that pay for the Love Your Garden makeovers, they are.

The entire build is paid for by the broadcaster, which includes relocation for the families.

They are given a budget to work to and are helped by supplier companies who rally to the cause and provide their products for free.

TV presenters and architects George Bradley and Ewald Van Der Straeten, who are often make an appearance on the show, revealed on their website that the network funds the whole project.

The show also has a number of sponsors, one of those being Home Instead.

How to apply for Love Your Garden?

As of April 2023, applications aren’t open, but keep checking back to find out when they are.

The requirements to appear on the show are as follows:

  1. You must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Be a legal resident and currently living in the UK.
  3. Include a recent photograph of yourself or the person you are applying for.
  4. The garden you would like made over.
