Who Wants to be a Millionaire viewers are all saying the same thing after contestant leaves with NOTHING

WHO Wants To Be A Millionaire? viewers have accused the show of stitching up a contestant with an overly hard question that saw him leave with nothing.

John McKenna, who won the programme’s sister show Fastest Finger First to make it into the hot seat, was visibly annoyed when he became only the second player in host Jeremy Clarkson’s tenure to go home empty-handed.

John McKenna went home with nothing on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

He came unstuck on the £1,000 question: “Which of these is a thick omelette made with fried onion and potatoes, popular in Spain? A: Tortilla B: Churros C: Croquetas and D: Gazpacho.”

John was stumped, admitting he didn’t know what Churros were. He turned to the audience for help, but their answer was far from decisive.

Thirty four per cent chose tortilla while 52 per cent picked croquetas.

That was good enough for John, who was convinced tortilla was a flat wrap.

Unfortunately, he was mistaken and looked ashen as Jeremy revealed it was the wrong answer.

One viewer wrote: “Got it right but the Tortilla question was naughty on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. No way that was a £500 question.”

A second posted: “That was an absolutely savage question on who wants to be a millionaire.”

A third said: “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire cheating by not putting the full name or known name of the Spanish omelette. Everyone knows Tortilla as the wrap. The Tortilla de Patatas is the actual name. Ridiculous.”

While a fourth commented: “Guy on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? seemed to be really p****d.”

There was more drama when the next contestant looked set for a huge pay out only to squander £64,000 on a question about the origin of the Met Office.

He set his safety net at £125,000 but fell agonisingly short when the audience once again gave the wrong answer.

It meant his dream of climbing Everest with his mum was shattered and he walked home with £1,000.
