Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’s Jeremy Clarkson stunned as Robert Rinder declares ‘I hate you’ mid-question

WHO Wants to Be a Millionaire’s Jeremy Clarkson was left stunned after Robert Rinder declared “I hate you” mid-question.

The TV star appeared on a Celebrity edition of the ITV quiz show last night in a bid to win as much money as possible for charity.

Jeremy was stunned but then joked half the population hates him and he’s used to it

At one point, Robert – better known as Judge Rinder – was on £32,000 and trying to secure £64,000 but he was unsure of the answer to his question, so decided to phone a friend.

However, he inexplicably read out the four answer options in the wrong order going B, D, A, C and didn’t go from A-D like everyone else normally does.

His friend suggested the answer was “the first one” but wasn’t sure, then the time cut out.

Jeremy, 61, then pointed out to Robert, 43, what he had done saying: “You read them out backwards, you said B first, that’s what I heard. You read them backwards, I do know that.”

Robert was confused as to what had happened, and blamed Jeremy for his blunder.

After he worked through his thought process, he then told Jeremy, “What’s with that face? That’s a deliberately misleading face.”

Jeremy replied: “It’s just my face!”

Robert dithered a bit more about which answer to go for, and said: “I think I’m going to go for C….I…I hate you. I need you to understand this.

“I don’t know why I do, I didn’t before now.”

Jeremy paused a second, taking in the outburst, then wryly replied: “Over half the population hate me so I’m used to it.”

Thankfully, Robert ended up going with his gut feeling regarding the question, and he was right, securing £64,000.

He then told Jeremy: “I like you again now.”
