HOLLY Willoughby has long been a regular staple of our daily routine, best known for brightening up our week days on This Morning.
The ITV host usually presents the daytime show from Monday to Thursday, but Holly will not appear on today’s show (April 19) – leaving many fans wondering why.
Why is Holly Willoughby not on This Morning today?
Holly has remained tight-lipped on the reasons behind her week-long absence.
The presenter took to Instagram on Sunday evening to tell her followers that she is working on another project that will keep her occupied for the next week, but stopped short of revealing what it was.
Uploading a pic of her alongside her son Chester, she captioned the image: “Vitamin d, caffeine and a side order of distraction from Chester.
“Working on something else next week which I can’t wait to share with you all…. thank you to the lovely @rochellehumes for keeping my side of the sofa warm… x”
Who is replacing Holly on This Morning?
Holly’s role alongside Phillip Schofield will be temporarily filled by former The Saturday’s star and fellow presenter Rochelle Humes.
Rochelle has featured on This Morning a number of times before, as well as hosting her own shows, including the moving Channel 4 documentary The Black Maternity Scandal, which focuses on the healthcare black women receive during their pregnancy.
Rochelle has also hosted shows alongside her husband and fellow musician Marvin Humes, the pair joining forces to co-present BBC series The Hit List.
When will Holly be back on This Morning?
It is expected that Holly will return to This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield next week on Monday (April 26).
Fans flooded her comments on Instagram to both express their sadness at her absence and their curiosity over what this secret project is.
“So no This Morning for you this week either?
one person commented, while another said: “Any hints on what it is?”
Another user wrote: “Can’t wait to see to see what you are planning… something definitely exciting…miss you xxx”
