She said they used lambs’ privates while she filmed 2015 BBC2 show Kate Humble: Living with Nomads.

Kate told a magazine last week: “I once ate testicle soup — God, it was absolutely delicious.

“It was while working with a nomadic herding family in Mongolia.

“They had just castrated their ram lambs and the testicles were poached in a meat broth.”

She is not the only celeb to enjoy an animal’s nether regions.

Telly chef Jamie Oliver, 47, said his worst dish was “the anal sphincter of a sheep”.

But he added: “Penis and balls, that can be quite pleasant.

“Braised penis can be delicious, and you can take the skin and stuff it with glorious things.”

But travel guru Simon Reeve was less keen.

He said: “The weirdest thing I’ve eaten is penis soup, made from the penis of Zebu cattle.

“It was particularly awful.

“In Madagascar I was served what looked like spinach, and it was buffalo poo.”
