SHOWTIME’S Yellowjackets follows a group of plane crash survivors as they navigate their new lives.
Following the first season’s success, the network ordered another season.

Will there be a second season of Yellowjackets?
Yellowjackets season 2 is scheduled to premiere on March 24, 2023.
The second season’s storyline will be told over a course of eight episodes.
The show’s debut earned a following for its blend of horror, psychological drama, and mystery genres.
The program was also noted for its non-linear storytelling that takes place between the late 1990s and the present day.
Yellowjackets creators teased fans and shared that season 2’s plot progression could possibly tie into the first season’s mysterious opening scene.
Co-creator Ashley Lyle told EW: “We absolutely will get to that part of this story over the course of the series, I will say that.
“It was always a question of how they got there. So we will ideally answer both, how they got there and what exactly it was we were seeing in that opening scene.
“I would be reluctant to say that there are any definitive concrete clues that people have fully ignored.
“I think that there are some subtle indications that we tried to plant throughout that these four women might not be the only survivors out there.”
She explained: ” We wanted to make sure that, ultimately, we want to preserve the ability for our surprises to feel truly surprising so it’s always a bit of a delicate dance.
“You want to lay the groundwork and plant the seeds so nothing comes out of left field but at the same time, you don’t want anything to feel so inevitable that it loses its impact as a viewer.
“In many aspects of our storytelling, that was the balance that we were trying to strike.”

What is Yellowjackets about?
Yellowjackets takes place in 1996 and is about a team of high school girls’ soccer players who are stranded in the Ontario wilderness after their plane crashes while en route to Seattle.
Much of the series chronicles the girls and their attempts to stay alive in the winter wilderness.
Meanwhile, the timeline also jumps to the present day to reveal which teammates survived the disaster.
The cast consists of actors who play the adult and teenage counterparts of their respective characters.
