Fans of the ITV2 dating show flooded Twitter in shock after seeing the singletons sit on their duvets with shoes on.

New boy Tom Clare was among them, keeping his white trainers on as he hopped into a day bed with Olivia Hawkins.

While another moment saw Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad wearing their shoes on one of the sofas.

A third offence saw Will Young place his feet on the day bed, while chatting to Ron Hall and Shaq.

Love Island fans hit out against the habit as they admitted they had “got the ick” by the Islanders’ “dirty” behaviour.

One wrote: “Footwear on any bed and sofa is a big red flag and I need to ask your mother how you were trained.”

Another agreed: “Shoes on the bed is such an ICK,” while a third added: Shoes in the bed is the biggest ick this season.”

“Shoes on the bed! The lack of house training makes me sick,” a fourth concluded of the scenes.

Elsewhere, Love Island fans celebrated a major shake-up for the new series of the dating show.

It came after last night’s steamy kiss between Tanya and Shaq, which saw the pair unable to keep their hands off each other.

But as they locked lips under the covers, viewers were delighted for another reason – no kissing sounds.

Taking to social media, one fan said: “Whoever turned the mics down this year during the kissing deserves a promotion.”

A second added: “Pay rise to whoever turned the mics down for their kissing this year. The music over it was too good.”

A third person commented: “They got rid of the excessive kissing sounds,” while sharing a fist bump meme.

In previous seasons of the show, fans have been left sickened by the sound of the Islanders kissing.

In 2020, those watching the South Africa series even complained to Ofcom after feeling repulsed by the noisy snogging.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2
