NIKITTA Angus wowed judges on series three of The X Factor as a fresh-faced teenager looking for fame.
Now 16 years later, the singer looks very different these days but is continuing to work hard to find her place in the music industry.
The Glaswegian youngster pulled on the heartstrings of millions as she explained she was taking part in the competition in memory of her mother.
Her mum had died from cancer – just two weeks before her audition
At first gaining support from judge Sharon Osbourne, Nikitta was placed in the 16-24 category where she was mentored by Simon Cowell.
But her journey on the talent show came to an end in week five during a sing-off with Ray Quinn.
Ray went on to become a runner-up in the series to winner Leona Lewis.
After the show, Nikitta spend time doing the X Factor tour and then played Cinderella in panto at Glasgow’s Pavillion Theatre the next year.
Moving to Manchester, Nikitta continued to make music, as well as playing gigs around the country.
She’s still friends with some of the X Factor contestants from series three, one picture on her socials sees her supporting David Heath at a theatre performance.
David was a member of the band Eton Road.
While Nikitta admitted it was pal Leona Lewis who encouraged her to take part in Channel 5’s reality TV show Don’t Stop Believing in 2010.
Now at 32, she’s mum to son Calen, and told her fans: “Honestly This Child Is My Best Mate…
“He’s the one that makes Mothers Day a good day now rather than a sad day. Love you son x”.
Most recently she shared with fans a music video for her cover of Sia’s Alive.
