Zoe Ball, host of new ITV1 talent contest Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream, experienced a mortifying wardrobe malfunction while filming for the show. However, it was not due to a dip in the Ionian Sea like Amanda Seyfried's character in the film, but rather because of a freak weather event that almost halted production.
Weather woes
Ball described the initial days of filming in Greece as "absolutely awful," with torrential rain and sets being blown away. She even had to wear long flares for one show, and the water from the set rose up to her knees by the end, leaving tide marks on her trousers.
Fortunately, the weather eventually improved, and Ball shared that "the gods of Olympus smiled at us, and the sunshine came out."
Finding new stars
Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream is a talent contest that aims to discover two stars to join the London production of the ABBA musical Mamma Mia! The show is set to premiere on October 22 at 6pm.
Yesterday, the cast was unveiled, featuring hopefuls Desmonda, a 27-year-old who relocated from Indonesia to pursue a career in the West End, and Tobias, a 22-year-old who previously toured with Strictly's Giovanni Pernice.
