PRINCE Harry and Meghan made an emotional return to the UK for the Queen’s funeral amid a backdrop of rifts with the Royal family.
But as a heartbroken nation paid their respects to Her Majesty, the Royals put on a united front by mourning together as one – hinting that there could be peace ahead.

The “fab four” had not been seen in public as a quartet since March 2020
Harry and his brother William appeared to put their differences aside for their grandmother as they walked side-by-side behind her coffin in the procession.
It comes after the pair’s troubled relationship sparked headlines worldwide having barely spoken for 2½ years after the Sussexes left for the US.
But as the brothers joined together yesterday after dramatically reuniting along with their spouses at Windsor, royal fans were left wondering one thing – could Meghan and Harry come back in the fold?
Here are FIVE signs the Duke and Duchess and Sussex could return to Royal life.
UNITED IN GRIEF

Meghan and Harry sat behind King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla at the Queen’s funeral service yesterday.
The sombre Duke and Duchess were seen doing their part by supporting the royals during the proceedings at Westminster Abbey.
Any differences Harry and his family may have were put aside as he walked in with his brother Prince William before taking his seat directly behind his father, the new king.
Meghan was similarly sat directly behind Camilla and next to Princess Beatrice – in what could be a sign that rifts could be patched up.
‘FAB FOUR’

Prince William was shown sweetly ushering the rest of his family to their seats before taking his own at the Committal Service for the Queen
Prince William offered an olive branch to his younger brother and Meghan in a heartfelt gesture yesterday when he ushered them to their seats in St George’s Chapel.
The Prince of Wales led his own family to their seats before being seen pausing before taking his seat.
In one touching moment he kindly gestured to his brother and sister-in law to go in front.
And it may have been one of the clearest signs yet that William is ready to patch things up with his brother with his latest “olive branch”.
The brothers families were sat side-by-side during the Committal Service for the Queen
Princes William and Harry and wives Kate and Meghan had earlier dramatically reunited on September 10 to pay their respects to the Queen.
The moving tribute saw the brothers put aside their differences as the four inspected flowers outside Windsor Castle.
It was the first time the couples have been seen in public as a foursome since Commonwealth Day in March 2020.
A royal source described the moment as “an important show of unity for the Queen”.
William was spotted chatting to Meghan and appeared to lead the quartet in waving goodbye to the crowds.
It also emerged that the elder prince offered the olive branch by instigating the photo opportunity at Windsor which prompted talk of reconciliation.
SHOW OF SUPPORT

Meghan and Harry made a show of support by staying in the UK the whole time for the funeral – despite not seeing their kids for almost three weeks.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been in the UK for a whirlwind charity tour when the Queen tragically died.
And the couple then extended their trip to remain in the country for the funeral.
Harry was seen distraught at his grandmother’s funeral while Meghan shed a tear as the two paid their respects with dignity.
However, they are expected to fly back to California “almost immediately” as they have been away from Archie and Lili for a considerable time, it has been claimed.
SUITED AND BOOTED
Prince Harry was united in grief with brother William as they both wore military uniform
King Charles appeared to offer Harry an olive branch by giving him permission to wear his uniform at a poignant vigil at the Queen’s coffin.
Harry was at the foot of the coffin while Prince William took the lead – with both brothers in military uniform in solidarity at King Charles’ request.
The Duke of Sussex previously had to wear a morning suit at the ceremonial procession having lost his military titles following Megxit.
There was initial speculation that Harry – who served two tours of Afghanistan- would be blocked from wearing military dress,
But he was granted special permission for the period of reflection in a beautiful gesture by monarch Charles.
CHARLES’ LOVE

One last reason why Meghan and Harry could come in from the cold is the love of his father King Charles.
THAWING OUT
Cold snap to come to an end as clouds & rain replaced with 22C clear skies
In an address to the nation following the Queen’s death, the 73-year-old monarch took time to make sure his son and his spouse knew they were still in his thoughts.
He said: “I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.”
