PIERS Morgan vowed to stand up for the Royals against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The TalkTV host, 57, said Brits should be allowed to back the monarchy and accused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of wanting to “create a rival, renegade royal family”.
And he slammed them for exploiting their titles while trashing the institution, adding: “I don’t think they can have their royal cake and eat it, and I’m going to say that very loudly on my show.”
It came during a wide-ranging interview with daytime host Lorraine Kelly, 62, ahead of his TalkTV show Uncensored launching on Monday.
Piers told Lorraine: “Harry’s behaviour continues to be utterly deplorable. This ludicrous statement that he is protecting the Queen – really, mate?
“All you have done is make the Queen’s life a misery.

“You quit the county, you quit the British people, you are now proud of saying you live in America with a new life. Good luck to you.
“But you are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still – titles afforded to you by the Queen, by the monarchy.
“All you do is trash the Royal Family, trash your brother, trash your dad, trash the monarchy.
“I’m sorry, but people are allowed to stand up for the Royals. I will stand up for the Royals.
“I think they want to create a rival, renegade Royal Family.
“They are making hundreds of millions of dollars exploiting the Royal titles from an institution they keep trashing.
“I don’t think the can have their royal cake and eat it, and I’m going to say that very loudly on my show.”
Piers later jokingly stormed off-set in his first ITV appearance since leaving Good Morning Britain last year.
He left after bosses told him to apologise for saying he did not believe Meghan Markle’s claims in her Oprah Winfrey interview – or leave.
But some 17 of her claims were untrue, exaggerated or unprovable. TV regulator Ofcom also later ruled Piers was right to have his say.
Piers told Lorraine: “I didn’t believe her then and I don’t believe her now. I think most British people now share my view.”
He said he was hired to GMB, and achieved its best-ever ratings, because he had strong opinions, adding: “I didn’t want to leave. It wasn’t my choice.
“I was told to apologise or leave, but why would I apologise for something I believe?
“I don’t think anyone should apologise for an honestly held opinion.
“If you give this cancel culture a bone, they will take it and still try to crush you.”

Yesterday Prince Harry caused outrage in his latest TV interview for saying he wanted to protect the Queen, refused to confirm if he would attend her Platinum Jubilee, and dodged a question asking if he missed his brother and father.
Royal biographer Angela Levin told The Celeb Report he is trying to prove himself and show that he is superior to William.
