HE’S an heir to the throne, so Prince George will no doubt mark his tenth birthday today with a celebration quite literally fit for a King.

Especially if his day-to-day lavish lifestyle and previous birthdays have been anything to go by.

The young prince, pictured here with father Prince William, sister Princess Charlotte, brother Prince Louis and mum Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has a privileged upbringing to say the least

In fact, even at the age of just three, father Prince William jokingly admitted “he’s far too spoiled” when asked by a member of the public about the presents he’d received.

Here we take a closer look inside George’s very lavish life, including an £18k playhouse and classic car collection including a mini Aston Martin and a SUV car gifted to him from uncle, Prince Harry…

Gifts galore

Before he was even born, Prince George was a very popular tot, with well-wishers clamouring to give him gifts.

To mark his birth, celebrity designer Theo Fennell – who has worked for everyone from the Beckhams to Elton John – created a £10,000 18ct white gold charm bracelet as a gift for George and mother, Princess Of Wales Kate Middleton.

Kindly, it was later auctioned off, with the proceeds generously going to charity.

For his first birthday, the young Prince was said to have received over 1,000 gifts from across the world, including an extra special £18,000 playhouse from his grandfather, King Charles.

The toy – which is said to have featured a wood burning stove and day bed – was reportedly installed at the King’s home in Highgrove and provided by Dorset-based company, Plankbridge.

That same year he was gifted a rocking chair from none other than the then-president of the United States, Barack Obama.

He also received an ornamental orb – the lapis lazuli orb – from Pope Francis, which, according to the Associated Press the late Queen joked: “George will be thrilled by… when he’s a little older.”

Classic car collection

Other presents George has received over the years include an electric SUV in 2017 from his uncle, Prince Harry.

The toy cars cost on average £400 each, but can be as much as £1,500 depending on the make and model.

And while he’s only ten, that isn’t the only car George has owned – in fact he’s had something of a classic car collection.

While the car-mad tot started off in a £100 tractor, as soon as he was old enough it was reported he inherited his dad’s super fancy dark green miniature Aston Martin.

The child-friendly model, which apparently can reach speeds of 20mph, was one of only 25 built.

It was initially given to Prince William and Prince Harry in 1988, so has been in the family for generations.

Royal heirlooms

While Princess Charlotte is likely to follow in her mother’s footsteps and get the opportunity to wear tiaras and diamonds passed down through the generations, Prince George will inherit some heirlooms of his own.

He is of course in line to become king one day, and with that will be likely to inherit the St Edward’s Crown King Charles wore at his Coronation.

It’s an impressive bit of kit, made of solid gold, weighing nearly 5lb, and containing over 400 gemstones, including rubies, sapphires, garnets and tourmalines.

Reports have suggested he could also potentially inherit Charles’ £3.9m Highgrove estate in years to come.

Luxury holidays

George was just six months old when he first visited the island of Mustique, in the Carribbean, with Kate and her side of the family in a lavish four-bedroom villa.

The property was said to boast a full team of staff including a butler, chef, housekeeper and gardener, as well as its own pool and luxury garden.

The then-Cambridges must have loved it, as they also went back to the same island and enjoyed a two-week luxury break over George’s sixth birthday, reportedly staying in a £27,000 a week villa.

The athletic prince is also said to love skiing, which is lucky, given the family regularly visit luxury resort Courchevel, France, to practice.

In 2016 the family chartered George’s godfather the Duke of Westminster’s private jet for the journey to the five star resort.

Designer wardrobe

With his mother the Princess of Wales heralded as a style icon, it’s not surprising Prince George is also well kitted out, and he’s often spotted in Ralph Lauren, Boden and Rachel Riley clobber.

In fact, his clothing has started to become a lot more formal at events – including the recent Wimbledon final, when he donned a shirt, jacket and tie.

This is said to be a purposeful decision made by Kate.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Duncan Larcombe claimed the princess is helping to ease her eldest son into an official life of duty in the public eye.

The expert said: “George is only just beginning to understand his destiny, but Kate has got the journey planned.”

High-class education

Kate and Wills are reportedly keen to give their children as normal an upbringing as possible, so they don’t use their HRH titles at school.

However, that doesn’t mean they go to the local primary either.

George and his siblings go to £7,000-a-term independent preparatory school Lambrook, in Berkshire.

The move came after the family moved to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Home Park.

A Palace source said: “This decision to move to Windsor and for George, Charlotte and Louis to go to school together was always about putting the children first. It is the best thing for the kids.

“Both William and Catherine are very keen to do the school run.”

It boasts a 25m indoor pool for swimming lessons, and the opportunity to learn scuba diving too.

There is also a full-size AstroTurf pitch, golf course, outdoor play area, polo field and bee farm.

Currently, it is believed the three children’s education costs around a staggering £70,000 annually.

While there’s no expense spared when it comes to giving George the finer things in life, his parents are still very keen to ensure he grows up appreciative and down-to-earth.

In many ways they’re just like any other family and enjoy the simple things in life.

For example, a source previously told Hello!: “Kate takes her kids to the trampoline park quite regularly and really blends in as any other mum.”
